An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Specialist Physiotherapist within Physically Disabled Rehabilitation Unit (PDRU).

 

PDRU is a busy 12 bedded in-patient rehabilitation unit on the grounds of the . In addition to this there is a Day Case Rehabilitation Programme and out-patients clinics. This unit offers rehabilitation to patients aged 16 years and above who have complex disability.

Assessment and treatment of patients with complex needs is carried out. The unit is very MDT focused and employs a goal setting patient centred approach in order to facilitate best outcomes and a successful discharge for patients.

 

You will have the opportunity to experience spasticity clinics, managing the gym and being involved in out-patient clinics.

In addition to your clinical caseload you will also have responsibility for the supervision and education of rotational staff and students and to contribute towards many aspects of service development and audit within the unit and will gain valuable leadership experience.

 

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is looking for an opportunity to increase their experience within neuro-rehabilitation.

 

  It is essential you have a Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and have current registration    with the HCPC.


Substantial experience in a range of specific clinical specialties – neurology/respiratory/musculoskeletal would be beneficial.

 

The shift pattern is 5/7,  8.30am to 4.30pm
