NHS Highland aims to provide a high quality, effective and efficient community pharmacy service to patients and the public across the largest health authority area in the UK. The post holder will have the opportunity to work with local community pharmacy contractors to develop the service to meet the needs of the local population.
Controlled drugs governance is an important part of NHS Highland's clinical governance arrangements. The post holder will work with NHS Highlands Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer and lead a team of controlled drugs inspectors.
The post holder will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual. They will require to have a vision for what community pharmacy services could deliver in the future with a creative approach that facilitates the vision being achieved.
A strong understanding of the principles of good governance is essential to the delivery of the community pharmacy and controlled drugs elements of this role.
NHS Highland will support the professional development of the post holder.
