An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 staff nurse within Ward 2c Acute Receiving Unit in The Royal Hospital for Children.   

Ward 2C is a 40 bedded receiving unit specialising in Medical, Respiratory, Surgical and ENT, providing high quality family centred care for emergency admissions.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development.  

You would be expected to deliver high quality, evidenced based, patient and family cantered care to patients of varying levels of dependency.  

You will have the ability to prioritise your work load in a fast paced environment and possess sound clinical skills for the assessment of patient needs. 

Intravenous medication certificate desirable but not essential.  

Shift pattern is; 11.5 hours- days & nights rotation including weekends.
