Grade: Band 6 Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with flexibility between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Location: Based in Edinburgh although travel through NHS Lothian board area may be required.
Salary: £35,522 - £43,286 per annum. Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to work within Digital & IT as part of an expanding project team focusing on improving processes for NHS Lothian staff and patients related to the management of Outpatient Services, with a focus on the use of TrakCare. Working closely with other teams within Digital & IT and the wider organisation, you will play a key part in the programme team delivering this project focusing on reviewing processes, documenting processes, making recommendations on process redesign and implementation risk and issue management. Excellent communication skills are essential to this key role within the programme. You will communicate with users from various departments and posts within the organisation. Although training will be provided, experience in the following would be very advantageous: Outpatient Waiting List management, Appointment management, TrakCare.
Key Responsibilities
· Work as part of the Digital and IT Team to ensure a consistent, high-quality service is delivered
· Manage a team of project officers · Assist in the development of training material.
· Assist in the continuous improvement of IT processes, procedures, and knowledgebase.
· Provide assistance and guidance to users.
About You
· Strong customer service skills, excellent organisational skills, with the ability work in a wide range of issues.
· An understanding of outpatient processes.
· An understanding of Patient Management Systems
· An understanding of user support processes
· Experience beneficial in using Microsoft products including Teams and Excel
· Be positive, empathetic, enthusiastic, and confident to represent the Digital and IT department and NHS Lothian Values.
