We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team in the Early Intervention/ Therapeutic Nursery based in Armitstead Child Development Centre.  The service provides assessment and implementation of developmental/ therapeutic programmes for children 0-3 years’ old who have a significant level of developmental delay, many with profound and complex health needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team based there and will be responsible for maintaining the children’s health, development and wellbeing needs.

 You will be skilled in comprehensive child and family assessment, parental education and planning interventions. You will work in partnership with a range of multi-agency professionals, build professional relationships with the children, their families, be creative in providing therapeutic play, sensory and community activities. 

Through being a part of the team you will further develop your in-depth understanding of child development, profound and complex needs which could enhance your future job prospects within both social and health fields. Experience of working with children with additional support needs would be advantageous. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary

Qualifications required – NNEB/HNC in childcare and education or equivalent

Registration with relevant professional body is essential for post.   

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
