An exciting opportunity has risen for a band 6 nurse specialist to join the Borders Sexual Health team, and to play a lead role in co-ordinating improvements in the provision of contraception, sexual health and termination of pregnancy services in the Scottish Borders.
Borders Sexual Health is a small and dedicated team delivering integrated Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare across the Scottish Borders. The appointed candidate will deliver all aspects of Sexual Healthcare including contraceptive advice and provision, STI testing, treatment and management of HIV care. Training will be provided (if required) in the provision of long acting reversible contraception (sub-dermal implants and intra-uterine contraception), pathways for women attending for termination of pregnancy and in non-medical prescribing. You will offer services across the localities as part of this role so lone working will be a requirement of this position.
