The NHS Tayside Digital Directorate are looking to recruit a System Support Technician/Project Support Officer to complement the Workplace Enablement Team.


You would be required to support the Workplace Enablement Co-ordinator with the growing workplace enablement workload and support local and national programmes of work that require Digital input.


What the job entails:


Workplace Enablement facilitates the IT requirements of relocations of teams, departments and buildings across NHS Tayside.  The team support the IT functions of capital refurb and new build projects across the estate.  Workplace IT assessments are also a large part of the team workload.  To ensure this work is complete you will be required to:


  • Engage and form key relationships with colleagues in the Digital Directorate and across NHS Tayside as well as Suppliers
  • Liaise with colleagues to organise IT aspects of relocations, refurbs, new builds and workplace assessments
  • Work on complex IT implementations with many interdependences and components
  • Plan, organise and record meetings and site visits that are required for each project


What we are looking for:


Someone who has extensive customer service experience preferably in an IT environment.


You should have knowledge and capabilities in the following areas:


  • Project support and process documentation
  • Ability to problem solve and work in new and challenging situations
  • Supporting Service improvement delivery within a customer service environment
  • Standard computer hardware and software offerings


The role will include the above but is not restricted to these responsibilities.

The Digital Team are currently based in Maryfield House, Dundee but this post will cover all of NHS Tayside’s estate.  There is some flexibility with the team working remotely at times.

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours) post that is predominantly Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm but this can change depending on service need so flexibility is required.
