An exciting opportunity has arisen in the National Treatment Centre (NTC), Inverness for individuals who are seeking a Band 4 Associate Practitioner post. The post holder will work towards shared Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy competencies.
The NTC is a 24 bed unit, situated at the city's University Campus, which will provide elective inpatient orthopaedic and ophthalmology services to patients over 7 days when it opens to its first patients in Spring 2023.
Applications are sought from individuals with previous experience as a support worker. The applicant will be required to have an HNC/SVQ III or equivalent relevant experience or be willing to work towards this.
The role will involve the successful applicant assisting qualified Physiotherapy and Occupational staff in the provision of efficient and effective therapy services within the Orthopaedics at the NTC. Services are provided over 7 days and this post will include weekend working.
The post holder will be expected to carry their own delegated patient caseload and to assess, treat and discharge patients in accordance with set treatment protocols. They will be expected to prioritise and manage their workload independently. Support and training will be available.
Applicants should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
