Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Project Support Officers to join the NHS Forth Valley’s Operational Management team for Ambulatory Care, Diagnostics and Theatres.

We’re looking for two Project Support Officers to join our External Provision Office (EPO). This is a newly establishment team, specialising in enabling and monitoring service level agreements with other NHS Boards. Many of the projects within this team are still in their infancy and will therefore require someone who is self-driven, motivated and a great problem solver.

Applicants should demonstrate experience of

  • Communication and collaborating with a variety of operational and professional stake holders
  • IT skills, with proficiency across  Microsoft office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Waiting list management, using a variety of digital platforms to monitor activity and queues
  • Using basic improvement methodology and tools
  • Project Management knowledge and skills

These posts will be based within a much larger team within Ambulatory Care, Theatres and Diagnostics. There will be an expectation for post holders to also provide support to other programmes of work within the wider team. There is therefore lots of peer support and opportunities to gain exposure to different services and healthcare contexts.  Education and training are promoted.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.

Service Managers Graeme Johnston and Kris Robertson would welcome any informal enquiries. Please contact Audrey Cockburn, Assistant to Service Manager by emailing Audrey.Cockburn@nhs.scot or phone 01324 566250 to arrange a chat.
