TPD in Anaesthetics – West Region 

Hours: Part Time, 0.5PA (2 hours per week) 

Duration: Fixed Term, Three years in the first instance*

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.   

The Training Programme Director in Anaesthetics will be responsible for managing specialty training programmes for doctors holding the following appointments: specialty registrar (StR); and locum appointments for training (LATs). 
The TPD should be a Consultant and is accountable to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Dean. He or she may also combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.
