Out of Hours Hospice Physician

We are looking to recruit a motivated, talented and enthusiastic doctor to join our medical​​​​​​​
team with a commitment to “making today matter” for patients and families.

Interview Date: Week commencing 13th February
The Ayrshire Hospice is currently located in East Ayrshire Community Hospital,
Cumnock until Summer 2024 to allow for the build of new Ayrshire Hospice facilities.

The Ayrshire Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic doctor looking to gain further experience
in palliative medicine in an inpatient hospice setting. This role supports the provision of out
of hours care to the inpatient unit and provision of telephone advice. This role is suitable for a
doctor who has completed foundation training although previous palliative medicine/hospice
experience is preferred. This role includes non-resident on call.
The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting
illness within Ayrshire and Arran. We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s
homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself. This is provided at no cost
to our patients or their families. Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in
Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness.
