An Opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse with a keen interest in cardiology to join the nursing team on ward 21(CCU)/ward 23. While experience in cardiology would be advantageous it is not essential.
You will rotate across the cardiology floor between ward 21(CCU) and ward 23. Ward 21 is an 8 bedded Cardiac Care Unit with telemetry. We care for patients with a wide variety of acute cardiac conditions from Myocardial Infarction, cardiac arrthymias and heart failure as well as providing a GP assessment service Monday to Friday. Ward 23 is fast paced acute cardiology ward with 26 beds which also includes a mix of medical patients with a wide range of general medical conditions.
You will be expected to undergo training in all aspects of cardiac nursing and show commitment to study. Various hours with internal rotation dayshift and nightshift.
