An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 OT to join the vibrant, forward thinking Allied Health Professions (AHP) team providing Secure Care services at the Rohallion Clinic, Murray Royal Hospital, Perth. Rohallion Secure Care Clinic represents a unique setting for secure care in that both low and medium secure care facilities are co-located in a beautiful, semi-rural, elevated site within walking distance of Perth town centre.  The service also has a well established Forensic Community Mental Health Team.


We are seeking to recruit a Specialist OT who exhibits the values of NHS Tayside, to our AHP service.  This post offers the unique opportunity to work across both Medium and Low security. We provide excellent opportunities for enhancing your clinical/professional and leadership skills. We have a well established service and provide excellent formal and informal supervision.  The service actively supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans, providing a framework for encouraging CPD and promoting innovative practice.


Applications are invited from Occupational Therapists who have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, have current HCPC registration and extensive post registration experience, the majority of which within a mental health setting, ideally although not essentially part within a forensic setting.


As an expert practitioner within the field of forensic mental health, applicants must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a multi-professional team.  You should be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge of current evidenced based practice, legislation, and the Model of Human Occupational theoretical framework.
