Glasgow HSCP are delighted to recruit to this new band 6 Clinical Art Therapy fulltime post within the Scottish Prison Service Healthcare team. The Lillias Centre based in Maryhill, Glasgow is a new community custody unit for up to 24 women. This is an exciting opportunity to establish an evidence based and psychologically informed Art Therapy programme which will meet the needs of a diverse and complex female prison population. The successful post holder will be able to work to the top of their licence delivering a person centred service that will utilise their training. You will join a developing service and work closely with other mental health practitioners. It is anticipated that all your clinical time will be delivered in the Lillias Centre. Educated to a Masters degree level you will ideally have experience of working in a secure environment and with women involved with criminal justice services and have experience of working with complex trauma in mental health. Art therapy (art) will be part of the multi disciplinary provision as part of a new service, as such the post holder will develop and evaluate the art therapy service.

The vision of NHSGGC Arts Therapies is to provide high quality person-centred trauma informed and evidence based, cost effective interventions to those who may struggle to make use of or access more verbally focused therapeutic care. NHSGGC have a robust commitment to CPD training opportunities as well as professional supervision. We are supportive of lifelong learning and will work with you to meet your professional goals and aspirations.
