An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ayrshire Women and Children’s Services for a Clinical Nurse Manager specializing in all aspects of Gynaecology and Sexual and Women’s Health.

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic person to join our team and undertake this dynamic role with evidence of leadership at a local and strategic level. 

The role is to:
•    Provide effective leadership and expert clinical support to the multidisciplinary team for women and their families both within the Acute and Community settings. 
•    To undertake clinical practice regularly within the Gynaecology setting
•    To provide evidence of effective day to day running of the service with focus on training, staffing levels, skill mix, succession planning and budget management.
•    To ensure the service is safe and effective with participation and learning from adverse events 
•    Promote our service nationally and have evidence of an innovative approach to developing the service
•    To develop and shape services to support the health and social outcomes for Women in Ayrshire
•    To participate and coordinate as a change agent for current and pending national initiatives relevant to the service as a whole
•    Regularly act as Hospital Co-ordinator/Bed Manager/Fire Warden supporting all areas within the Women and Children’s Service and staff. 

You must be a Registered Nurse with appropriate managerial experience and be  educated to minimum of degree level and evidence of Masters level education or equivalent.

Driving Licence is essential.
