Senior Assistant Technical Officer
Band 3
The shift pattern for this position is 09.00 – 17.00 Mon - Friday.
You will join a team providing a medical equipment management service to health care establishments. The department provides a service that includes the installation, commissioning, calibration, performance assurance and repair of a wide range of medical equipment.
This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week. The post is based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the Medical Equipment Management Department. This post will be with the team that provides support to surgical services
The duties of this post include the organisation and ordering of parts for medical equipment and performing testing on low risk and non-complex medical equipment. In addition, staff undertake duties in accordance with the quality system operated. Please see the job description for full details.
Applicants should possess an S/NVQ level 3 or a recognised equivalent academic or vocational qualification or equivalent experience. It is desirable that applicants possess an S/NVQ qualification is in a Science or Technology based subject.
Additionally, applicants should have good organisational skills, keyboard skills, communication skills and manual dexterity.
