An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant in Neurorehabilitation based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.  Additional commitment to Inverclyde Royal Hospital at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde may also be expected.

This is a time of significant change in this service and the successful candidate will work with the Lead Clinician/Clinical Director, Clinical Service Manager, General Manager and colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team to deliver and develop neurorehabilitation services for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and West of Scotland Board partners and this will include the development of neurorehabilitation services to support the West of Scotland Major Trauma Network and the delivery of Once For Scotland Rehabilitation Framework.

The team is committed to ongoing quality improvement of their service and we are keen to support candidates who are looking for the opportunity to develop/maintain areas of research interest.  An interest in teaching and training is also encouraged.  Consultants can be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and are usually offered an honorary position by the University of Glasgow. 

The post is offered on a full time basis as 10 PAs inclusive of DCC and SPA time. Prospective applicants are encouraged to make informal contact with the unit to discuss the role and requirements. An informal visit can also be arranged.
