An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian, with an interest in multi-cultural health and community dietetics, to work as part of the Community Dietetic Service. This post will be based within the West Community Dietetic Team.  This post will involve assessment and management of patients with a range of conditions, in a variety of settings. Patients can be seen in person, virtually or via telephone. There is a significant element of this role involves working in partnership with Health Improvement, translation services and other Dietetic Teams. Most recently materials and resources used in diabetes education have been progressed to ensure they are culturally appropriate. A training needs analysis for dietetic staff has been undertaken and the new postholder will shape and inform a culturally sensitive training plan.  This post supports the planning and delivery of education and training for health care professionals, carers and staff from other agencies and will have a particular focus on multi-cultural nutrition.  You will be involved in the supervision, teaching, mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic support workers and clerical staff.  A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics and HCPC registration are essential. We are a friendly, supportive and forward thinking team.
