We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or experienced Staff Nurse with a passion for clinical care, a strong team-work ethic and the aspiration to develop Advanced Nurse Practitioner skills working as a key member of the senior clinical team. This post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries and a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.
Experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners should be trained to MSC level /or equivalent experience and have completed relevant training including Advanced Clinical Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing.
This development post is suitable for registered nurses experienced in the management of acutely ill patients. Established specialist skills in Accident & Emergency, Minor Injuries and Minor Ailments would be desirable. You will be required to successfully complete the Advanced Clinical Examination Course, Non Medical Prescribing and Minor Injuries and Minor Aliments within a specified timeframe. This will include assessment, diagnosing problems, implementing and supporting delivery of appropriate clinical care (minor and major clinical presentation), and evaluating outcomes of such care.
This is an exciting opportunity at a time of continuing quality improvement and redesign at Caithness General Hospital.
Caithness offers low pollution and low crime, unique wild life; it is world renowned for surfing, the North Coast 500 and has stunning coastal scenery.
Relocation Package available to the successful candidates.
These are permanent posts of 37.5 hours per week, working a rotational day/night duty contract/ with a mix of 11.5 or 8.5 hr shifts as required to cover the service needs.
