Hours: 2 GP Sessions available within Dundee HSCP with flexibility around clinical commitments.

Post Term:  March 2023 – February 2024

This is an exciting opportunity due to maternity leave of the current post holder for a practicing Dundee General Practitioner to become part of the leadership group for Primary and Community Care Mental Health at a time of increasing national investment in mental health in the community.

Primary Care is integral to the successful implementation of the Living Life Well (mental health) strategy for Tayside and local mental health and wellbeing strategies

The GP Mental Health lead will develop key relationships with General Practices, across the Primary/Secondary care interface and within the Health and Social Care Partnerships. As a member of the Primary Care Mental Health Group, and local mental health and wellbeing groups, they will support optimal development of pathways for mental health in Tayside and development of mental health services within Primary Care.  These roles will be supported within an expanding Clinical Leadership team in Primary Care focussed on quality improvement, as well as being integral to local mental health leadership teams.
