An opportunity for a fixed term Locum appointment to fill a vacancy in the West of Scotland Higher surgical Training scheme in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

The post will run from 1 st February 2023 until 2 nd Aug 2023 The post will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital which is the largest ENT department in the United Kingdom.

QEUH comprised of an Adult ENT department based in the QEUH and a Paediatric Department based in the Royal Hospital for Children There are 19 Adult Consultants, 7 Paediatric Consultants, 4 Post Retirement Consultants, 13 Specialty registrars, 1 Associate Specialist, 2 Advanced Medical Training Fellows, 2 Specialty doctors, 3 Core Trainees, 3 GPST’s, 2 FY2’s and 5 Junior fellows.

Between the two departments we care for patients from Glasgow, the West of Scotland and provide tertiary services for the whole of Scotland. Subspecialty interests include: General Adult and Paediatric ENT Care, Head & Neck Surgery, Complex Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery, Oto-neurology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery, Advanced laryngeal and voice assessment and surgery, Specialist Vertigo services , NF2 service for Scotland, Paediatric Airway service for Scotland and Adult complex airway service.
