To work in support of registered nurse in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care  and to work without direct supervision of a registered practitioner

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out specific care duties for patients, delegated by a registered nurse or other relevant professional.

​​​​​​​West Lothian Out of Hours Team is part of the District Nursing Service and provides nursing care to people at home in the evening, at weekends and on public holidays. The hours of work are primarily 1600-0000 Monday-Friday and 0830-0000 Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

The successful postholder will integrate into the DN service and so there is an expectation to work across all shift patterns, including a rotation into core hours of 0830-1630 Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for out of hours working and may suit people who are unable to routinely work during office hours. Flexible working arrangements can be considered, please contact Maggie Williamson to discuss.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
