A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a multidisciplinary team in the field of cochlear implantation.
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a friendly, multidisciplinary team consisting of scientific, rehabilitation, medical, admin and support staff. Based in a modern and well established clinic in University Hospital Crosshouse, you will manage and direct an internationally recognised, specialist service.
This is a national service for severe-to-profoundly deaf adults and children from across Scotland. Currently, over 1600 cochlear implant recipients are being supported by the service. Approximately 100 new patients undergo cochlear implantation per annum. The service is based at the Raj Singh Cochlear Implant Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse in NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
We are looking to appoint a Consultant Grade Clinical Scientist or Consultant Grade Speech and Language Therapist from the field of cochlear implantation. Applicants must be appropriately qualified, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have extensive cochlear implant experience. See Job Description for further details.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
