An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 24-month secondment to Practice Education Lead (PEL) within the Scottish Ambulance Service Education and Professional Development Department (EPDD) based in North Region. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Robert Gordon University, Operational Managers and North EPDD team therefore good communication skills are essential.
The PEL is central to the development of the new degree level programmes for pre-registration paramedic students. Working with an identified Higher Education Institution the PEL will be the conduit between the university and service ensuring that the placement experience of paramedic students meets their clinical learning outcome requirements. Working with both internal and external practice placement providers The PEL will work closely with other Practice Education Leads, within territorial health boards and beyond, to determine and secure suitable practice experience for undergraduate paramedic students.
This post holder will be part of the PEL team which looks after 5 Universities, these are;
Robert Gordon University
Stirling University
University of the West of Scotland
Queen Margaret University
Glasgow Caledonian University
