As a Mental Health Nurse you will work within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHTE) in East Ayrshire where you will work with older people who have a range of mental health issues. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in close partnership with colleagues in primary care, community, social work and third sector. 

You will be highly motivated and prepared to work as part of an integrated and multi-disciplinary environment placing the older person and their carers to the fore. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a well-developed knowledge of care of older people with mental health problems and appropriate interventions coupled with organisational skills and ability to work as part of a Team are essential for this post. You will be educated to degree level or have a relevant post graduate qualification and experience relevant to job purpose.

The CMHTE forms part of the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (EAHSCP) based within North West Kilmarnock Area Centre and as a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, you will be an integral member of the team working within a distinct locality within East Ayrshire providing assessment, care, support and interventions to patients and carers living in East Ayrshire.
