NHS Borders has a unique and exciting opportunity in looking for a senior leader in the role of Consultant Clinical Scientist/Head of Service. The Laboratory department is in the Borders General Hospital and provides a comprehensive service for primary and secondary care. There is close working with Tertiary laboratories across the East Regional Network for provision of services for the Borders population.

This role provides the strategic direction for future services locally and regionally and responsibility for delivery of a sustainable affordable and resilient service including the development of workforce for the future.
