An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and driven individual to join our existing team as an Occupational Health Nurse.
You will work as a key member of our Occupational Health team in the delivery of a professional and comprehensive Occupational Health service within the Board at a time of growth.
You will be expected to support employees to achieve and sustain a level of health and wellbeing to allow them to maximise their potential both in work and in life.
The role will involve identifying and preventing work related health problems, promoting healthy living and working conditions, understanding the effects of work on health, health surveillance, health promotion, risk assessments, risk management, vaccinations, pre-employment clearance and venepuncture. You will be expected to support employees to achieve and sustain a level of health and wellbeing to allow them to maximise their potential both in work and in life.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with significant post registration experience and a good understanding of Occupational Health nursing. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn. You should have excellent time management and organisational skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work effectively within a small but busy team whilst adapting to the diverse and variable demands on our service.
