NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services have an exciting opportunity to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy team providing care for people within the Mental Health and Learning Disability directorate including the Substance Use Service.

The mental health pharmacy team is located in Forth Valley Royal Hospital (FVRH) supporting both inpatient and community services across two Health & Social Care Partnerships (HSCP). Substance Use Services are provided from community hubs in each HSCP. FVRH is a state of the art facility that utilises modern technologies including Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) and an electronic patient record system. Mental Health & Substance Use Services work in partnership with a range of health, social care and third sector agencies across Forth Valley ensuring an integrated approach to the provision of patient focused care.

This post provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and committed pharmacist to provide clinical and professional leadership to the mental health and substance team plus the wider organisation, reducing stigma and inequalities for people with mental health issues. The post holder will be an experienced clinical practitioner with highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with ability to affect and implement change at both strategic and local level.  An understanding of collaborative working with multi-agency services is essential and the candidate should have experience of innovation for service improvement.
