The Prisoner Healthcare Mental Health Nursing Team is currently participating in a transformation change programme. The team are striving towards delivering safe, effective, patient centred care in line with NHS Tayside Vision, Values and Aims, to patients within HMP Perth, HMP Castle Huntly and Dundee Community Custody Unit.
We are the first prison in Scotland to join the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality Network for Prison Mental Health Standards and we are committed to improving care for our patients.
The Mental Health Nursing Team delivers nurse lead Assessments and Interventions for patients suffering from mental health conditions while working in collaboration with the wider multi disciplinary Prisoner Healthcare team of, General Practitioners, Primary Care Nursing Team, and Substance Misuse Teams to meet the holistic needs of patients.
We are seeking a Charge Nurse in Mental Health who has relevant and previous experience at band 6 inpatient and or community-based services, who can demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge and ability to work with patients with multiple/complex needs. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be committed to delivering care from a trauma informed approach towards high quality safe and effective patient centred care to this complex patient group within this unique setting.
Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN3 or RNMH level 1 of the UK NMC Register
