Health and Safety Advisor (Ref:138149)
£35,522 - £43,286 (Band 6)
Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Edinburgh or Glasgow – hybrid working (part office/part-home working)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor to support our Head of People and Workplace in ensuring that our organisation is equipped to meet legislative and good practice requirements in Health and Safety for our predominantly office-based workforce.
You will be involved in the full range of issues from writing policies and delivering training, conducting risk assessments, preparing reports, and conducting walk rounds. NEBOSH and IOSH qualified. You need to be well-organised and an excellent administrator as it will be your responsibility to develop and maintain systems of recording to manage accident and incident reporting, mandatory training, DSE Assessments and organisational risk profiling. An engaging and positive approach is required to raise awareness and engagement in Health and Safety issues throughout the organisation.
The role requires knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to work on your own initiative whilst building relationships across the NHS. Based in either the Glasgow or Edinburgh offices but there will be a requirement to travel to the other office as well as other offices throughout Scotland as required.
