As part of the Business Support Team, the post holder will be required to undertake the operational management of a number of sites within the Sector, ensuring a safe environment for patient’s independent contractors and staff and will contribute to the overall delivery, development and evaluation of services within these centres. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the development and provision of the administrative service within the sites, ensuring implementation of NHS systems, to maintain effective support to all staff within these centres, management and clinicians thereby facilitating the delivery of effective patient care. The post holder will provide leadership, management and advice to allocated Business Support staff within the Sector. The postholder will directly manage the Business Support staff across multiple sites. The staff managed by the postholder provide support to the business support function, nursing, AHPs and other services within the community bases. The postholder contributes to the development of, implementation and maintenance of administrative services and systems to ensure effective delivery of patient care. The post holder strives to ensure that the service provides easily accessed, efficient and effective, localised patient centred delivery of care as well as supporting the HSCP integrated model of working. The postholder will often be the first point of contact for and have responsibility for the centres, including monitoring of budgets and ordering of equipment and furnishings. The postholder will be an authorised signatory for defined budgets within the Sector and is responsible for operational issues that arise across the services that use the buildings and for resolving operational issues with the relevant services e.g. General Practice, Pharmacy, Dental etc.  HNC in administration or management or SVQ level 4, or has significant relevant practical experience which demonstrates ability to work at this level. OFFICIAL Revised 24 May 2021 OFFICIAL Page 5 of 5 • Substantial experience of managing staff, preferably within a multi-site setting. • ECDL or equivalent and proficient in all Microsoft packages. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and planning and organisation skills. • Excellent leadership, teaching and negotiating skills with the ability to organise, motivate and develop staff. • Ability to meet deadlines, work to varying timescales and deal with numerous concurrent tasks. • Ability to work on own initiative, make decisions and operate as part of a team. • An understanding of financial systems and proven experience in budget monitoring/ management and data collection.
