The Clinical Support Department requires seasonal gardeners with gardening skills to maintain and ensure the grounds within hospitals, clinics, health centres and office accommodation within NHS Ayrshire & Arran are attractive and environmentally safe including all winter contingency planning tasks ie gritting/salt spreading, snow clearing etc.
Clean driving license is essential, along with the qualification on license that allows for Trailer Driving.
PA1 / PA6 Safe use of Pesticides, Weed Spraying certification is essential.
Experience in general gardening, horticulture, care and maintenance of grounds is desirable but full training will be given.
Other duties would include Portering & Waste Management tasks when required. You will be based at Ailsa Hospital. Health Board Vehicle provided at all sites. Uniform and Safety shoes provided.
This position is Fixed Term for 6 months.
Out of hours duties may be required to cover winter contingencies.
Hours of Duty : 37.5 Hrs per week, Monday – Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm
