Salary: £21,400 – £22,500 pro rata depending on experience
We are looking for a professional colleague to join our friendly GP Practice in Glenrothes on a part time basis with a minimum expectation of 30 hours per week. This is a permanent post. Hours can be negotiated but will require the post holder to be flexible with both early starts or late (6pm) finishes.
The post duties include but are not restricted to:
Maintaining good telephone contact with our patients wishing to make appointments,
Processing prescription requests,
Passing on medical information such as results and follow-up medical advice from GPs and other clinicians,
Electronic filing of test results,
Providing information to our patient group on other medical services available,
The post requires excellent computer skills and the ability work independently.
The person specifications for this position are:
Qualifications - No formal qualifications are required but a demonstrable commitment to professional development is desirable.
Experience: Experience of working in a public reception environment Experience of EMIS clinical software (training can be provided) Experience of Microsoft Office software Experience of dealing with the public/patients Knowledge / Skills Keyboard and computer skills Excellent communication skills Qualities / Attributes An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team Pleasant and articulate Able to work under pressure Able to work in a changing environment Able to use own initiative.
