Job Advert

Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers who have been trained by SAS to attend specific medical emergencies and deliver basic life support, oxygen therapy and defibrillation using an AED. The Scottish Ambulance Service utilises CFRs to compliment core ambulance resources.

The role of the Community Resilience Team Leader is to lead on training, development and support for SAS Community First Responder (CFR) schemes, through effective relationship management and the provision of direction, guidance and motivation to CFR volunteers. Also the role will provide line management to 4 Community Resilience Facilitators. The Team Leader is integral to the planning and delivery of national Community Resilience initiatives and projects.

This is an exciting time to become a key member of the Community Resilience team, as we work to implement a programme of developments which will contribute to the delivery of improved patient outcomes, and also enhance the SAS volunteering experience.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, with weekend and evening working as required.
