We require an enthusiastic, motivated Occupational Therapist to join our AHP team within Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer.
The postholder will be required to cover a range of clinical areas including in-patients (acute medicine and rehabilitation – including Stroke rehab), out patients and see patients in the community. They will be required to provide a range of assessments, treatments and interventions across a wide range of medical conditions and work closely with physiotherapy colleagues on a day to day basis. The team also provide cover to Newton Stewart Cottage Hospital and its surrounding area.
The postholder will work as part of a multi disciplinary, multiagency team to support person centred seamless care to patients.
Due to the ever changing landscape of healthcare the postholder may be required to work over 7 days in the future.
This team is developing and evolving and the postholder will be expected to assist in the future development of the team / service in the area.
This post will require the successful applicant to have/obtain PVG Clearance.
