This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone to offer clinical leadership within the expanding services of Neurology, Neurorehabilitation and National Spinal Injuries and to represent their nursing colleagues in shaping our services in the future.  Key aspects of the role are providing leadership and line management to nursing colleagues; supporting Departmental / Directorate Management Teams as well as ensuring safe effective and person centred care.  Close team working is required with other professional groups including medical staff, AHPs, administrative staff, and all other professional groups.  This role is based at the INS, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus in Glasgow.  This role provides a key leadership position for the nursing services within INS, working jointly with the Lead Nurse responsible for the surgical services.  As well as being a key member of the Senior Management Team, close working is required with other NHS GGC services, as well as services across the West of Scotland catchment that the service covers.  The post holder will be a visible and indispensable part of the neurology senior management team and work towards positive changes in service provision to ensure that patients receive high quality, timeous, care in the right place with the right person.
