An exciting new opportunity has been made available to help support NHS Tayside in meeting its statutory obligations in reducing violence and restrictive practices across all service areas in the health board.

The Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) Trainer will work as part of a team in the implementation, delivery and review of PMVA training and management systems across Tayside. This role will be line managed in the Workforce directorate through the Health and Safety service with reporting arrangements to the Nursing directorate through the Associate Nurse Director for Mental Health.

The PMVA Trainer will support the PMVA team in the organisation and delivery of PMVA training across services in NHS Tayside which will take the form of lecture style presentation delivery as well as physical personal safety and restraint training.

The PMVA Trainer will support the PMVA team in conducting, monitoring and reviewing risk assessments relating to PMVA hazards across services in NHS Tayside.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
