This is a fixed term position of 12 months.
An exciting opportunity to join the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Although the post will predominantly be based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary it will also include cover at Stobhill Hospital. The post will involve providing high levels of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in predominately Elective orthopaedics but also involve trauma patients. It is essential you are a qualified physiotherapist with experience of working in an orthopaedic inpatient setting and can lead on goal setting within the MDT. You will also be required to demonstrate leadership skills and clear decision making when implementing discharge plans and identifying when to refer to services such as community rehabilitation and MSK Physiotherapy. Service development is key in the ever changing challenges presented within a mixed orthopaedic unit. The ability to assist and lead on these projects will be an essential component to this role. You will be required to supervise, support and provide formal teaching for rotational staff, support staff, physiotherapy students and other personnel within the unit. You will also act as an expert source of Physiotherapy advice within orthopaedics. The post is full time 37.5 hours per week and for 12 months fixed term period
