An opportunity has arisen to join the administration team for the Forensic Community Mental Health Team as a band 4 medical secretary and on a secondment basis. The Directorate of Forensic Mental Health provides tertiary care across a range of settings, medium, low secure inpatient services and community for mentally disordered offenders within the NHS GGC area. The Community service provides care and support for patients and their relatives/carers in their own homes. The focus of the service is community reintegration and risk reduction. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Secretary within the Clyde Forensic Community Mental Health Team. The opportunity is a full time permanent post working Monday to Friday. You will ensure that an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service is delivered directly to the consultant psychiatrist and to the wider multi-disciplinary team which comprises of managerial, medical, psychology, nursing, social work and occupational therapy staff. You will be required to be an efficient administrator who contributes significantly to achievement of the role through provision of a variety of administrative roles. In the role you will work independently most of the time while dealing with management calls, emails and diaries - all the while supporting the generic functions and duties of the wider administrative team. This role extends to interface working with Criminal Justice Social Work, Police, Court, all statutory and voluntary sector agencies. To join the team you will also be required to be conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. Such experience is unlikely to have been achieved in less than 3 years related secretarial/administrative experience at a more junior level through which a thorough understanding of office procedures has been obtained.
