REGISTERED NURSES BAND 5 PERMANENT AND FIXED TERM POSTS

Cornhill Macmillan Centre is the result of partnership working between NHS Tayside and Macmillan Cancer Support.  The centre integrates and enhances Specialist Palliative Care Services in Perth and Kinross.

Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Specialist Palliative Care team on a permanent and/or fixed term or secondment basis The post holders will in the main work within the in-patient setting providing care over a 24hr/7 day per week period.  There may be a requirement to work across all areas of the service at Cornhill to meet the needs of the patients.  The applicants should be first level nurses, ideally with evidence of clinical practice in palliative care and post-registration education to degree level within a relevant field of practice and/or equivalent.

You will require the ability to provide high standards of care to patients and carers with complex specialist palliative care needs.  These posts offer opportunities to further advance nursing skills and knowledge within the field of Specialist Palliative Care.  Applicants must have effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues, have a positive attitude to change and evidence of continued professional development

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
