COMMUNITY PAEDIATRICS – EAST AND MID LOTHIAN

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term (12 months), full time (40 hours per week) post based at Musselburgh Primary Care Centre (MPCC).
This fixed term post has arisen in Community Paediatrics team due to a 12 month career break. This post will be based at Musselburgh Primary Care Centre, Musselburgh, and will join an established and experienced team of Community Paediatric doctors.
The standard week will include a regular child development clinics, multidisciplinary assessment and medical assessment of children and young people for permanency. The post holder will be required to contribute to the day time child protection rota including examinations of children with possible physical or sexual abuse or neglect.
The post-holder will be required to contribute to the Child Protection oncall rota, and acute receiving weeks oncall within the main Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP), Edinburgh. The successful applicant will have completed a recognized training programme in General Paediatrics, with experience in Community Child Health and be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of community paediatrics including neurodisability and child protection.
This post is available from 1st May 2023.
