There is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiac Physiology Team at NHS Forth Valley. We are looking for an additional Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly and experienced team.

The service has eleven consultants with clinical expertise in Cardiac Rhythm Management ,EP ,Heart Failure and Cardiac imaging including CT .The Physiology staff include  ten band 7 staff members and three band 6 staff members that are highly enthusiastic and well experienced. We currently have 2  trainee  students .

The cardiac investigations department   provides routine diagnostic procedures. Electrocardiography service, holter monitors, event recorders, ambulatory monitoring analysis, Exercise Tolerance tests, and implantable loop clinics. The echocardiography service at currently provides TTE, TOE, stress and contrast studies.  

The Cardiac Rhythm Management Service has a large implant and follow  up  service  including  pacemakers , ICD ,CRTP/D, and SICD. The CRM team have implanting ILR physiologists.  We have approximately have one thousand patients on  home  monitoring .

We have Arrhythmia and Echo MDT’s and endeavour to support ongoing training .

Forth Valley Royal Hospital is a new, modern district general hospital and the Forth Valley region is situated in the Scottish central belt with easy access to the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

We support a broad range of both clinical and non-clinical educational activities.

All applicants will be expected to have BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent and HCPC registration as a clinical scientist or AHCS practitioner/ RCCP registration, and have ILS.

Initially this post holder will perform tape analysis, reporting and performing ETT’s and basic brady implant training.
