Job Advert

37.5 hours per week, Pharmacy Department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary – 18 month post.

Band 8a (£53,513 - £57,767) Highly Specialised Clinical Pharmacist.

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated pharmacist to join our Cancer Clinical Pharmacy Team within ARI. You will be responsible for delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to cancer inpatients and outpatients attending Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. You will support developing and providing pharmaceutical care to cancer patients and work as a core part of the multidisciplinary team.

It is an exciting time to work in cancer services in NHS Grampian with the new ANCHOR Centre in construction and planning to open in 2023.  The ANCHOR Centre brings all Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy Day and Outpatient services under one roof. There will also be a dedicated lounge for teenage and young adult patients, an Aseptic Pharmacy for the production of chemotherapy treatments, and dedicated teaching and research facilities.

You will be an experienced clinical pharmacist with excellent clinical knowledge and be able to work effectively as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.  You will also be required to take an active role in the supervision and training of staff and students, to act as a role model and to participate in audit and research.  This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing clinical pharmacy team where you will have opportunities to work as one of our over 45 independent prescribers within the Acute service who are taking on new roles as an essential part of the wider healthcare team.

This role includes a commitment to weekend working.

This role will suit an experienced pharmacist with cancer experience who wants to work part-time, in a job-share role or if you are looking for a fulltime post (37.5hrs/ week) please get in touch directly to discuss.
