To work with Clinical Psychologists in Psychological Therapies team to provide a coordinated Psychological Therapies service to patients in the Orchard Clinic and ensure clinical governance of psychological therapies.
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary service, providing, developing and managing matched stepped care clinical interventions for patients with complex mental illnesses, personality problems or difficulties related to traumatic stress in a medium secure forensic setting.
To directly line manage the nurse therapist team and peer support workers.
To provide clinical supervision to nurse therapists
To direct and facilitate the training and experience of nurse therapists, mental health nurses and others in the Orchard Clinic in psychological/psychologically informed interventions in collaboration with the Clinical Psychologists in the service.
To carry out audit, policy and service development, and Research and Development (R&D) activities and programmes within the Orchard Clinic and forensic estate as called upon to do so
To provide consultation, support, and advice to nursing staff in order to support the delivery of best possible recovery-focussed nursing.
