This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacist to participate in a new Primary Care Pharmacy training role which will enable you to develop your clinical practice within GP practices with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. These exciting roles will involve mainly working with the healthcare teams in GP practices, care homes and to support delivery of the GMS contract and improve patient care.  The post holder will undertake ‘The Pharmacist Vocational Training Programme – Foundation Framework’.  You should have a sound clinical knowledge, good IT skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet the demands of the service.  The objectives of the team are to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of prescribing and medicines use for patients across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.   You will work closely with GPs, other practice staff, community pharmacists, care home staff, members of the primary and acute healthcare team and central team colleagues in supporting the development and application of high quality, safe, cost effective, rational and evidence based prescribing in the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).   Applicants should be members of the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.  This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
