An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B5 Staff Nurse to join the Surgical/Urology Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to this defined group of patients.  You will competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group. 

You will be responsible for the assessment of urology patient needs, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care which are evidence based in support of the SCN. Utilizing all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others.   It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have an interest in surgical/urology nursing. Relevant post registration experience would be advantageous.   If you are an individual with a desire and wishing to progress within this area of surgical specialties/urology and have the ability to fullfil the criteria outlined in the job description then this is the challenge you are looking for. Part time and full time hours are available.  The shift pattern for this post is 11.5hrs rotation over a 24hr period covering 7days per week
