You will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a highly skilled, efficient high quality diagnostic cardiac service to the patients attending Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The purpose of the role is to deliver the highest quality of patient care by managing resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring appropriate training of staff and following national, corporate and departmental procedures. The service provides acute health care for the local population of Inverclyde. The Cardiology Service is mainly based within Inverclyde Royal Hospital. As part of Greater Glasgow and Clyde you may be required at times to work within one of the other sites in Glasgow or Clyde. You will manage the Echo Service, and have day to day responsibility for this service reporting to the Head Clinical Physiologist. You will in conjunction with the Clinical Physiology Service Manager be responsible for training, ordering stock for service, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed, organising audit sessions with medical staff. It is essential that you have a Physiology Degree including professional body examinations leading to registration
with the RCCP and that you have technical and theoretical knowledge acquired through departmental training programmes and through study for professional examinations.
