An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our dedicated Health and Safety Services at NHS Forth Valley as part of the Manual Handling Service. You will provide leadership within the Manual Handling Team and support the Service Lead in the shaping of manual handling delivery, reviewing of best practices and ensuring an approach that best meets the needs of the organisation through providing proficient advice and guidance relating to Manual Handling and Ergonomics.   

The post holder will report directly to the Manual Handling Service Lead and will be a key part of the Manual Handling Senior Team. You should have a nationally recognised qualification in manual handling and ergonomics with specialist experience working within the field of manual handling/ergonomics within a healthcare setting. You will have a healthcare related degree or equivalent qualification and experience working within a clinical setting.

Applicants should have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the legal, best practice and practical application required to provide proficient manual handling/ergonomic assessment, advice, training and guidance to all staff within NHS Forth Valley. As communication, guidance, coaching and training will form a large proportion of the posts activities, excellent presentation and communication skills are necessary to meet the essential and desired criteria.
