Based within Argyll & Bute HSCP, the Senior IT Trainer is responsible for the provision of IT Training for staff responsible for clinical and non clinical IT applications for the whole of the HSCP  hospital campuses and other community bases within the HSCP and the GP practices.  In providing effective specialist  IT training. You will  enhance the digital IT skillset of our workforce in supporting our transformational change.  Providing effective eHealth materials and blended learning interventions  to meet individual needs of staff within  Argyll & Bute HSCP.

eHealth provide staff with a wide range of IT applications across the HSCP. You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows WIN10, MS 365 (Teams), MS Office, knowledge of GP systems and other NHS clinical systems (Vision, EMIS, Trak, ICE, IDL, SCI Gateway, Portal) would be advantagous. Digital technology offers significant benefits to the HSCP. Our staff staff need to be trained to use technology for these benefits to be realised. Training staff within clinical and non clinical, healthcare professionals in computer literacy, clinical systems and other applications, and in the use of IT systems, applications and software. This role plays a key part in providing our community staff with training in Carefirst\Eclipse system.

Candidates should be educated to degree/HND or equivalent level and have at least two years experience in a similar role. Experience of the WIN10 desktop environments,  MS 365, and other MS applications is essential.

Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills are essential both in dealing with demanding users and in advising users of all levels of training in terms of use of IT services or in meeting new requirements.

A clean UK driving license is essential, as a considerable amount of travelling around the Argyll & Bute HSCP is necessary to carry out the duties associated with this post although use of pool cars is frequently possible.
