This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to work within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Occupational Health Service. The post holder should ideally have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience, a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an Occupational Health Setting and hold or be working towards a specialist Occupational Health qualification. The successful post holder will be a key member of our existing Occupational Health Nursing team and of our wider multidisciplinary team helping to support the delivery of a comprehensive service at a time of significant growth and development. You will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive occupational health service for NHSGGC employees and external organisations. The role offers a variety of duties and responsibilities including pre-employment health screening, health surveillance, immunisation clinics and management of blood borne virus. A key responsibility will be undertaking health assessments including both management and self referrals. You will provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of health and work and will be instrumental in promoting a positive culture of general and mental health and wellbeing whilst identifying opportunities for health promotion. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive and enthusiastic approach. You should have excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills. Be able to work independently and function effectively within the larger team, demonstrating adaptability to the diverse and variable demands upon our service.
